Besides having a velvety smooth + creamy texture, and tasting amazing, this recipe is packed with healthy boosts to help you kick start your day and give you long lasting energy to keep you focused, calm, and balanced. All this recipe requires you to do is heat up some plant based milk and blend it with some simple + amazing nutritious ingredients. I love simplicity!
What is Moringa? It’s a nutrient dense green that delivers a sweeter taste, as opposed to other greens powders which often have a stronger, more bitter taste. Moringa is a plant species native to India and has gained popularity for being a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that contains phytonutrients along with an excellent source of potassium, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin A, and protein. It can be found in a powder form, making it easy for adding into recipes for extra healthy vibrancy. I particularly like adding moringa powder to my smoothies and lattes for some added nutrition and disease-fighting benefits.
Why pair moringa with matcha? Matcha and moringa go hand in hand! The disease-fighting benefits of these two green potent antioxidants make this latte such a powerful + healthy elixir. One other powerful ingredient I added into this recipe mix is ashwagandha root powder. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb, and to keep it simple, adaptogens are healing plants that help restore and bring the body back to balance. Ashwagandha in particular helps restore energy and enhance stamina. It’s also popularly known for lowering stress levels, balancing thyroid hormones, and recharging the adrenal glands.

Velvety Moringa Matcha Latte
Smooth + creamy, energizing, calming, balancing + nutritious Velvety Moringa Matcha Latte
- 1 cup unsweetened nut milk
- 1 tsp moringa powder
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp ashwagandha root powder
- 1 tsp pure organic maple syrup (optional for adding sweetness, add more as needed)
- 1 tbsp organic virgin coconut oil
- In a small saucepan, heat milk through over the stove.
- Once milk is heated, gently pour it into a blender and begin adding the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend everything together until a creamy + velvety consistency is achieved. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
