Making Way for Growth

Hi friends! Over the month of March I’ve been experiencing some major growing pains. I’ve been feeling a shift within me. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but what I can tell you is that I feel it and I’m open to it. Growing pains aren’t a bad thing, they’re usually a sign of, well, growth! It feels different for everyone and If you’re in tune with your body (like me!), then you definitely have a good idea of when it’s happening. I personally experience a lot of uncertainty, confusion, and moments of doubt when I’m going through growth. I have to take a step back, check in, and ask myself

“Am I loving myself?”

“Am I honest with myself?”

“Am I inspired by my journey?”

“Am I learning new things?”

“Has something changed?”

Being honest and asking myself the right questions helps me become more clear in my mind, and ultimately opens up more space for growth to make its way. A simple act of letting go and welcoming growth is a gift. It opens your heart, knocks down doors, and paves way for better opportunity. In those times of uncertainty, confusion, doubt, or whatever uncomfortable feeling you may experience, always remember these pains come and go all throughout our life. I see it as life’s way of gifting us with unique opportunities.

Growth is not something that is always clear or makes sense right away. It often begins as a strong sense of an emotion, or feeling. Whenever I begin to see whatever growth I am going through in its form, I feel more gratitude, relief, and have a greater appreciation for the opportunities my life uniquely presents. What about you?

As human beings we are always going to be changing, it’s inevitable! What I needed and who I was when I was 16 years old has changed a million times over from what I need and who I am now as a 26 year old, and I will only continue to keep changing and growing as my life flows. We are never stuck, we are in a constant flow of growth and change. Trust the process, accept who you are along the way, create space for who you will become, and be easy on yourself throughout growth is my best advice for anyone who’s feeling it. Life has many amazing and unique ways of surprising us!

“Change is inevitable, growth is optional.”

I’m sure you’ve heard this quote before, but it is so true! Stay open to your growth. Don’t run from it. Growth wont always feel pleasant (hence growing pains), ride it out, feel it, accept it for what it is, and allow yourself to grow into the amazing person you are!

Have you ever felt growing pains when growth is making its way through you? If you are open to sharing, comment below!
