I’ve felt an energy to do a blog post like this one for quite some time now. This will be my last blog post for a few weeks as the wedding is creeping right up and I want all of my focus and attention to be in the present moment absorbing and enjoying every second of it! As I have been told by many, the wedding day will fly by before I know it. We will be flying away the day after our wedding for our honeymoon… in Italy! I’m so excited you guys! I have never been on a trip like this before, it’s my first major travel, and I come from an Italian background, I know… what’s wrong with me? Anyways, let’s get back to what I’m here to chat about today, SKIN!
Anxiety is something we can all relate to on some level. Some of us deal with it more than others, and in unique situations. When I go through shifts and changes like a new semester starting, or I know a big event is coming up, I can feel my anxiety slowly creeping in. At first it’s the nervousness of the unknown and then I catch myself and use my little anxiety busting techniques to help wash the worries away and remind myself that a situation can be as good or as bad as I make it up to be. It’s all in the mindset, and it’s important to keep that mindset strong and healthy as the long term effects of anxiety can cause a decline in our overall well-being. It’s beneficial for our overall health to find natural remedies for anxiety that get to the root of the problem so it can be managed effectively and not masked.
There are numerous pressures out there to always make the perfect choice around food because that means we are “healthy”. The reality of it is that we will fail at making the right choice sometimes. Even the healthiest people out there have their moments, and THAT’S PERFECTLY OKAY! We can become our own worst enemy sometimes, filling our mind with doubts like
- “I shouldn’t have eaten that…”
- “I need to cut this out so I can be skinny…”
- “I want that person’s body, mine isn’t good enough…”
- “I can’t believe I ate cake last night, my diet is ruined…”
- “I haven’t exercised in a week, I’m going to get fat…”
